The Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology focuses on pioneering research in cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases using advanced genomic and molecular tools. A major focus of the Institute is the investigation of the role of non-coding RNAs in disease progression and the development of innovative, targeted therapies. The institute comprises two research teams: the IPT Research Teams and the Independent Research Group Andergassen.
